Assassin's Creed 2

It's the second day of summer break and I have already completed one of the video games that was on my list of games to complete during the summer. For the past two years I have been trying to complete the Assassin's Creed series in chronological order, but I find it so hard to finish because each level and each game is pretty much the same thing. Luckily, I have finally completed the second game!

Game: Assassin's Creed 2
Publisher: Ubisoft
Console/Platform: Xbox 360
Rachel's Rating: 4 stars

Assassin's Creed 2 picks up immediately after the first game, literally, like not a single second later from the ending of Assassin's Creed. The main difference between the first and second Assassin's Creed games is that the animus is on the road now with a little mini team separate from the science facility where you (Desmond) are held captive in the first one. Lucy, the girl scientist from the first game, joins you and a few other team members (Shaun and Rebecca) as you try to depict a new assassin's memories during a certain time period.
This time you travel back in time to the 1440's-ish time period in Italy with Ezio. The game starts off with the birth of Ezio and how he has grown up in a royal family until around the age of 14-16 when his brother and father are killed. Ezio plans to avenge his father and brother's deaths by traveling and hunting those who were involved. On the journey you learn more interesting historical facts. The facts that I found to be the coolest and most interesting were about Leonardo DaVinci and his experiments, which are involved with your mission.
The game has a similar gameplay style and controls from the first game. Graphics are a bit more clearer and detailed as well, which is always a great feature with sequels. Overall, I would rate the game four stars because it kept me entertained with a great story and interesting characters. However, I would not give the game five stars because there's a whole lot of side stories and collectibles that can side track you from the main story line.
Now, I know that this review is a few years too late since the fifth or sixth Assassin's Creed game is coming out this year, but I figured I would post it anyways since I am completing the whole series and because most people say that the second Assassin's Creed game is the best game in the whole series. I wish the Ubisoft would rerelease the main games in the series for next gen consoles, but I understand that that would be a whole lot of money, so for now I will have to enjoy returning to my Xbox 360 in order to finish the series.

I hope you guys enjoyed my first video game review, let me know what you think of Assassin's Creed 2, or any other games in the series. What game should I play next? Let me know, I am open to suggestions! Thanks for reading :)

It Has Been Quite a Long Time

Why hello there reader! It has been quite a long time since I have posted on this blog, about four months actually! There have been a lot of things going on in my life since then and it's all just a bit too crazy.
Since January I went from having two part time jobs to just one (an amazing one, by the way) and college has gained complete control my life. It is quite insane how different this semester, Spring 2015, is compare to last semester, Fall 2014. Of course, last semester I was taking just a few minor classes towards my degree and now I am taking a few major ones that revolve around my degree (Preprofessional Biology, in case you were wondering). It's been quite a ride with a few ups and downs here and there grade wise, but I think there will be a good outcome in the end, and if not, I have accepted the fact to try again.
During the summer I plan on doing a few more activities during my free time, activities that I enjoy of course! My summer activities will consist of more video games, books, and Netflix binge watching! Look for future posts about the list of video games I am looking forward to playing this summer!
Along with those fun activities, I am looking forward to hanging out with my friends once again since I haven't had a chance to see a few of them in months, and I plan on taking my very first online course! I have enrolled in English 102 over the summer, and I think it's going to be a nice new experience, but a simple and easy class that should give a little extra added boost to my GPA.
Well, that's all for now, I look forward to posting a bit more! Finals are coming up, so you might not see another post for a few weeks, but I promise there will be a new one soon! Thanks for reading! :)

Friends on Netflix

As you may or may not know, I am in a committed relationship with Netflix streaming. If I go one day without watching Netflix I feel that my day was not fulfilled to it's fullest, sad, but true. As of right now I am on season 3 episode 8 of How I Met Your Mother (great show by the way, make sure to watch it, review coming soon).
Well, what some of you may or may not know, Friends has been released on Netflix. Yes, all 10 seasons of Friends have been released on Netflix. So, if you don't know how to spend this weekend, I would suggest binge watching at least half of those ten seasons. I know that's what I will be doing! I think Friends is one of the biggest releases I have been excited about on Netflix in this point in time, until they release Orange is the New Black's season 3 (seriously, when is the next season coming out, I am stoked to find out more about the Litchfield Women's Prison!). When I was a little girl my parents and my uncles would all watch and talk about Friends, so of course I was able to catch a few episodes here and there. Of course I know how the show ends (I saw that episode at least three times when it first came out), but I would like to piece together all the episodes and find out more about my "friends".
So, while I watch these ten seasons of Friends, while still watching the awesome show, How I Met Your Mother, I just wanted to remind you of all these awesome TV shows you can watch and waste your day in pajamas (that's really not a waste though) when you have a day off. Also, Happy New Year!
