Apple

Many people have asked me several questions about Apple, their products, the store, customer service, if Mac is better than Windows, etc. Well, all I have to say is that I love Apple and Mac products. My whole life I grew up with Windows and Microsoft. I loved it, no complaints whatsoever. Of course there are a few bad things, but I'm pretty positive and just kept going down the path of life. Well, a few years ago right before my junior year of high school my dad decided to switch my computer from a Windows PC to a Mac Mini.
Now at this point in time I had already owned a third generation iPod Nano and an iPod Touch third generation (I loved both by the way), so I had mixed feelings about switching, but I was very excited because I have always wanted a Mac computer. Ever since then I have been a full Mac/Apple loving gal. So, of course you might have a few questions for me now that I have stated my side of the argument, well, I am here to answer those basic questions that many of you may have.

1) What's so different about Mac from Windows? What makes it better?

In my own personal experience I believe Macs are easier to use than Windows. The user interface for a Mac is pretty self explanatory, you click an icon and it pulls up the program. All of your programs you're looking to use are already on your Mac, for FREE. Wanna edit a photo? Just open up iPhoto, the same place where you store your photos. iTunes stores your music, syncs your iPhone or iPod, Address Book saves your contacts, you can use the Apple Calendar or Apple Mail for those specific tasks, iMovie helps edit movies with a super easy interface that ANYONE could use. All of these programs are already installed on your computer once you take it out of the box.
Worried about viruses? No problem. With Windows you have probably had tons of viruses and tried out a wide variety of anti-virus programs. With Mac, it has a built in anti-virus system. It is EXTREMELY rare to have a virus on a Mac. If you do, just take it to an Apple Store or call of Apple Care, they will gladly help you without a doubt.
Don't know if the price is worth the investment? I understand your problem. I was nervous about spending over $1,000 on a computer as well, but it is definitely worth it. During the time that i have had my Mac Mini (three years now) my cousin has purchased TWO different Dell Laptops due to the many various reasons of her computer problems, updated items and such, you get the point. Macs just last longer. My Uncle gave me his old Macbook laptop from back in 2003, I still have it, it still works with all of the same programs it has had since the beginning of it's usage. Macs are just better when it comes to life expectancy.

2) How's Apple's Customer Service?

The Apple Store has the very best top of the line customer service. Worried about switching over to a Mac? Don't be, just take one step into an Apple Store and there will be a friendly face waiting for you willing to answer any questions you have, point you in the right direction of the electronic you are looking for. If you don't want to talk for too long, you don't have to. Once an Apple associate shows you where to find your desired electronic, they leave to let you play around with the device for as long as you would life. At first it's pretty awkward playing on a random computer or iPod, but then you get sucked into the beauty of the device and end up walking out of the store with your very own copy of it.
When you think your device is broken and have no where to turn, don't worry, Apple has got you covered. Before starting college I received a MacBook Pro as a graduation present. This past week, after taking an online quiz for my Psychology class, my laptop screen became all green and fuzzy (similar to how "snow" looks on your TV, only a bit more visible and green). I tried everything I could to fix the computer, but nothing was happening. Finally, I decided to schedule an appointment at the Apple Store with my Mac Mini. There are plenty of appointment times and days to choose from. The Apple website asked me if I had called Apple Care (I didn't because I google the symptoms of my computer, and apparently it's a common issue with the GPU [Graphic Processing Unit]). I showed up to my appointment an hour early, checked in, and waited 20 minutes and I was helped out by one of their employees at the help desk, which they call a genius bar. Their employee assisted me, asking me simple questions about what went wrong with my laptop, but he also asked me questions about my hobbies and school while performing a diagnostics test on my computer. Turns out I had to send my laptop to the company, the warranty covered all expenses, so they could fix it and return it back to me before seven days (how many times has a company said that and you have to call them every week for a month or two to get back your computer or device that still doesn't work? Yeah, that doesn't happen with Apple at all). Although I am without my baby (the laptop) for a week, I know that it is in good hands and that I have made a few friends with the employees at the Apple Store in the process.

3) The third question is...

Whatever else you want it to be! Feel free to ask me any questions you want down in the comments. Of course I will try my best to answer your question(s) as soon as possible, but in the mean time, you can call Apple, or head down to your nearest Apple Store. Their employees will be more than happy to answer any and all of your questions.

This is not a paid for advertisement or anything like that for Apple and Mac products, I just wanted to say how great of a company they are and how much they have made my life a better, technology wise. But seriously, I love them. Thank you for taking care of my baby Apple! I hope to have her back in my arms super soon (I know I will).

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed my random post about Apple, have a great day!
